Logan’s Landing asks council to continue annual support; facade grants remain active for downtown improvements

Frazzel reviewed finances and operations and told council members the organization has tightened event budgeting and improved processes; she asked the council to continue its contributions so Logan’s Landing can maintain promotions, facade grants and community events such as the Taste of Cass County. During Q&A Frazzel said the facade program has committed about $7,000 this year with another $13,000 pending (applications submitted but not yet paid), and she discussed that applications can take months to complete as owners gather estimates and planning approvals.
Council members asked whether operational or façade funding could be reallocated now that Logan’s Landing occupies a city building and has lower rent/utility costs; Frazzel said operating needs remain and that the organization runs at a modest deficit during some months. Members encouraged continued review of Logan’s Landing financials and suggested bringing quarterly reports if the council considers changes to the annual allocation.
