At the Sept. 23 meeting the Decatur County Board of Commissioners authorized County Attorney Brown Moseley to advertise and sell a parcel on Cherry Street that the county acquired through a tax sale, using a sealed-bid process. Moseley recommended the course of action after a resident inquired about purchasing the parcel.
Commissioner Russell Smith moved to authorize the county attorney to advertise and sell the property by sealed bid; Commissioner Jan Godwin seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. Moseley advised the board that he would handle the advertising and bid procedures under county requirements.
