County to convey small Manville parcels for flood buyout; multiple road and safety projects read for consent adoption

At the Sept. discussion meeting, the board heard staff read a set of engineering and planning resolutions that include conveyance of county-owned parcels in the borough of Manville and authorizations for intersection-improvement property purchases and a shared-service safety installation.
A conveyance resolution would transfer Block 9 Lots 25 through 31 on Dukes Parkway in Manville from the county to the borough for a flood-buyout and open-space purpose; county staff said the parcels are vacant and were targeted for flood buyouts. The borough will assume basic maintenance such as grass-cutting under the proposed conveyance, county staff said.
Staff also read a resolution authorizing agreements for the purchase of properties tied to intersection improvements on Greenberg Road West/East, Redfield Road and Rock Avenue. A separate resolution authorizes a shared-service agreement with Bernards Township (read in the record as the township of Burns) for a rectangular rapid flashing beacon on Mount Airy Road at Stacy Lane.
All of the engineering and planning items read into the record were placed on the Oct. 14 consent agenda for formal adoption. The Sept. meeting was a discussion session; county staff said no immediate action would be taken at that meeting unless legally necessary to continue county business.
