Boulder County appoints three members to new Community Housing Corporation board

The Boulder County Board of County Commissioners on Sept. 23 appointed Eric Parton, Sean Gary and Louise Kelly to the Boulder Community Housing Corporation Board of Directors, filling three vacancies on the newly formed body concerned with affordable housing development and homeownership programs.
The appointments were presented by Robin Valdez of the commissioners' office. Valdez said the new board will focus on “affordable housing development and home ownership and initiatives as well as sufficiency program programming especially as it relates to youth engagement economic mobility and aging in place.” She told commissioners the staff reviewed four applications and recommended the three appointees.
Commissioners voted to appoint the three candidates. The board also confirmed that Gwen Mossman with the Housing Services Department will serve as the board liaison to the Boulder Community Housing Corporation.
The appointments were moved and seconded during the business meeting and approved by voice vote.
