Jackson County committee holds proposed countywide disaster-recovery contract with Servpro

The Jackson County Budget Committee placed on hold an item that would award a 12-month countywide term-and-supply contract for disaster-recovery services to 21st Century Enterprise LLC (doing business as Servpro of Lee's Summit), using pricing and terms from the Junior College District of Metropolitan Kansas City (MCC) contract number 197242C3R2.

Committee Chair Legislator Charlie Franklin read the item, which described a 12-month term with one 12-month option to extend. An administration representative asked that the item be held because a county representative should be present; the chair accepted the request and, without objection, item 22014 was held. The meeting record contains no discussion of contract price, evaluation criteria, or vendor selection beyond the contract and vendor names on the agenda.

No vote to award the contract was taken; the item will be revisited when administration brings the matter back to committee with the requested representation.
