Public works: StreetPres to return in October; curb work, 190 patches and Heritage Drive repairs underway

Public works staff reported to the Raymore City Council on Sept. 22 that the StreetPres contractor will return in October to complete remaining road work, curb replacement on Doe Drive has finished phase one, and 190 pothch/patch repairs started the day of the meeting and were expected to finish within about a week depending on weather. Staff also said city crews were working this week to repair deteriorated sections of Heritage Drive. A council member asked about high weeds in a state-owned roundabout on 190th Street; staff said they would contact the Missouri Department of Transportation but noted MoDOT can be slower to respond on vegetation control. The council earlier approved consent agenda items that included final acceptance and payment for the Owen Good Force Main replacement phase 1; the consent motion passed unanimously, 8-0. Public works noted no additional budget or contract changes on the record during the staff report.
