Raymore council approves $170,000 purchase of 204 South Adams

The Raymore City Council on Sept. 22 approved ordinances authorizing the city to buy the property at 204 South Adams for $170,000 and to amend the fiscal year 2025 capital budget to fund the purchase. Council Member Abdelgawan moved to approve the sale; Council Member Olman seconded. The motion passed unanimously, 8-0. The council approved the second reading of Bill 39 87, the purchase ordinance, and Bill 39 88, the budget amendment, during the meeting’s unfinished-business section. The two readings were presented by title only; the city clerk read each ordinance title into the record. The action followed staff reports earlier in the meeting and an otherwise routine consent calendar that the council approved at the start of the session. There were no further questions from council members before the votes. No additional conditions or contingencies were stated during the recorded discussion. The council moved into executive session later in the meeting to discuss real estate matters; the motion to enter executive session also passed unanimously.
