Peoria County Election Office announces candidate filing windows for fall 2025

Elizabeth Gannon, speaking for the Peoria County Election Commission, told the county board that candidate filing windows for fall 2025 are opening soon and staff are available to help prospective candidates with packet and signature requirements.
Gannon said the filing period for District 150 and the Central and Northern District seats begins Monday, Sept. 29, and runs through Oct. 6. She added that established‑party filings for Peoria County positions and precinct committeepersons will run from Oct. 27 through Nov. 3. Gannon told the board that guidance on required signatures and packet questions is available on the election office website or by calling the office.
Gannon also noted that odd‑numbered county board seats are up this cycle and encouraged anyone with filing questions to contact staff for assistance.
