Chuck Batts reported Lebanon Fire responded to 152 emergency calls since the last meeting, logged 236 training hours, hosted four public-education events, completed 45 commercial inspections, participated in two regional (TAC) meetings and prepared nine preplans. He said recruits will begin fire behavior training this week at the Boone County Training Tower and that he, Deputy Chiefs Young and Hendricks will serve as guest instructors in the flashover chamber.
Batts introduced two personnel updates: Firefighter Blake Gaylor completed his probationary year and is now a first-class firefighter, and Firefighter Wes Banker completed the Indiana Fire Investigator base certification course required for those pursuing writing-officer or supervisory qualifications.
Batts invited the board and public to a groundbreaking for Station 213 scheduled for Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
No board action was required; the items were reported for information.
