Franklin Elementary Principal Brooke Dalby told the Provo City School Board on Sept. 19 that the school launched a coordinated plan this fall to accelerate early literacy for first graders and to make academic priorities visible throughout the building. Dalby said the school created a new mission, vision and values statement and strengthened PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) to highlight academics as well as behavior.
