District 64 earns CoSN Trusted Learning Environment mini seal for leadership practices

A district presenter identified as Matt said the CoSN Trusted Learning Seal program is “the nation's only student data privacy framework designed specifically for school systems” and that the mini-seal recognizes leadership policies and practices the district has implemented to protect student data. Staff said the district intends to apply for additional mini seals offered by TLE that focus on business data security, professional development and classroom practices.
District staff said a formal press release will be issued and thanked board members for support on student data privacy and cybersecurity work. No formal action was required; the announcement was informational.
