At the meeting the Cheshire Board of Education approved three procedural items by voice vote.
Minutes: Board members voted to approve the minutes of the Aug. 14 and Sept. 4 meetings. The motion was made by Mister White and seconded by Mister Grippo; the chair called the vote and it passed unanimously of those present.
CABE recognition application: The board approved submission of an application for the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) recognition award as presented. The motion to approve the 2025 CABE recognition award application was made by Mister Perugini and seconded by Miss Cullinan; the board approved the submission unanimously of those present.
ED‑099 signers (child nutrition reimbursements): The board approved a motion to revise authorized signers on the state reimbursement form for child nutrition programs (ED‑099) so that district staff (Ms. Taylor, name as in transcript) may sign required reimbursements and the healthy food certification due in November. The motion was moved by Miss Culligan and seconded by Mister White and was approved unanimously of those present.
Each motion was routine and passed without amendment. The approvals permit staff to proceed with administrative filings and recognition applications described in the superintendent’s report.
