Judge upholds prior bond conditions, orders interlock and sets bond amounts in multiple cases

The court considered multiple motions related to bond status and pretrial conditions. In several cases prosecutors moved for bond forfeiture because defendants were in custody in other counties; the judge responded by either ordering bond conditions to remain in place or by setting new bond amounts and additional monitoring requirements.
On the record the presiding judge noted discrepancies in docket stamps for earlier bond paperwork and ultimately ordered that “the defendant's bond issues issued by this court and attached to the bond issued on 10/09/2022 shall remain in place.” The judge recorded the bond form filing dates and directed that the conditions entered on that bond be enforced going forward.
Prosecutors moved for bond forfeiture in multiple matters after indicating defendants were in custody in other counties (Montgomery County and Fort Bend County were both referenced). In at least one hearing the court set bond amounts, stating, “We're gonna do 4,500 in each case.” In another matter the state asked the court to add an ignition-interlock device requirement and reporting to pretrial services; the court agreed that bond conditions should remain and set a new bond amount of $1,500 in that case.
These actions were routine case-management decisions, not changes to criminal charges. The judge ordered staff to apply the previously filed bond conditions (including no-contact and weapons restrictions where present) and to process forfeiture or revocation paperwork where the state requested it.
