Staff said vehicle access and existing off‑street parking are acceptable for the proposed low‑impact lodging use and recommended conditions that include obtaining a Montana public accommodations license through the Butte‑Silver Bow Health Department, meeting any building or health‑code remodel requirements, and securing a local business license before operation.
Applicants Michael and Brady Stewart said they maintain the property and supplied a neighbor support letter from the dwelling at 1160 Evans. Michael Stewart told the board that neighbors have his phone number for direct contact about any issues.
The board moved and seconded a motion to approve the short‑term rental with the conditions outlined by staff; the motion passed unanimously. Planning staff will issue a confirmation letter and the applicants must meet the conditions — including parking accommodations noted by staff and any occupancy limits set by the code or fire marshal — prior to receiving a final business license.
