Mohammed Khalek appeared for application 25155 for property at 200 Claremont Street, Deer Park, but the Zoning Board could not hear the matter because the affidavit of posting was missing and staff confirmed the required public notice sign had not been posted for the 10-day period required by board rules.
The chairman told Khalek that the sign is provided by the zoning office at the time of filing and must be posted in front of the property for 10 days prior to the hearing. Because the sign had not been posted, the board said it could not proceed with the hearing; Khalek said his architect had an emergency and had not arranged the posting. The chairman instructed him to obtain the sign from the zoning office, repost it, re-advertise and return for a new hearing date.
No vote was taken and the matter was continued; the record notes missing documentation and that the applicant must repost and re-notice before the board can hear the application.
