The Craven County Board of Education approved a slate of primary delegates to the North Carolina School Boards Association annual delegate assembly and named alternates at its Sept. 18 meeting. The board voted yes on the slate in a roll‑call vote; the chair had proposed primary delegates Lori Spies (chair), Patty Mason (vice chair), Amy Davis and Darlene Gibbs, with Lee Kirkman and Jennifer (Daisy/Dacey) named as alternates and an additional alternate added for Lori Kitzinger after a brief discussion.
