Clerk read notice of a public hearing on Introductory Local Law C, advising that the hearing was called to consider adoption of a local law establishing the compensation schedule for the commissioner of social services and listing a salary of $115,000. The board called for public comment three times; hearing none, the chair declared the public hearing closed at 10:06 a.m.
Later in the meeting the board considered Resolution No. 223 to adopt Introductory Local Law C of 2025. Supervisor Tall moved the resolution; Supervisor Edler seconded. A roll call vote was recorded with the majority voting yes and the resolution adopted. The clerk recorded the vote and the law will be entered into the county record.
The adoption followed standard notice and a public hearing with no speakers. The board did not discuss changes to the salary amount during the meeting on the record.
