Membership committee chair announces resignation; student vacancies and legislative seats noted

Membership committee Chair Catherine told the executive committee she will step down as chair because of other professional commitments but will remain on the committee and mentor a replacement. "Unfortunately, due to ... my other professional commitments, I was stepping down as the chair of the membership committee, but that I would be happy to mentor my replacement and, of course, remain as a member on the membership committee," she said.
Members thanked Catherine for her service. Missy Wrigley noted that the membership committee will announce the vacancy and ask full-council members to recruit candidates; the group identified current student vacancies and said student representation remains a priority.
Members flagged an anticipated change among legislative representatives: one member reported speaking with Josh Martin, who has moved districts and may need a replacement; staff said Bridal (responsible contact) handles legislative appointments and will follow up. The committee also confirmed that three legislative seats remain filled at this time.
