Because the sewer trench would be deep and the county’s existing two‑lane rural pavement would be disrupted, the county agreed to rebuild the subgrade, apply stabilizing cement, and prepare a prime coat. The city will pay for the final asphalt overlay. City staff reported a planning‑level rebuild cost of $3,350,000 and said the county’s involvement reduced Haslet’s share to roughly $190,000 in overlay funds already programmed.
