Florence fire marshal Jennifer Peel Davis named Arizona Fire and Life Safety Educator of the Year

Florence, Ariz. — Town officials recognized Fire Marshal Jennifer Peel Davis at the Sept. 16 Town of Florence council meeting after the Arizona Fire and Life Safety organization named her its Educator of the Year.
A town speaker identified as the fire chief said Peel Davis “has been recognized by the Arizona Fire and Life Safety as educator of the year” and credited her with leading the town’s community risk reduction programs and organizing the annual open house, including a burn-trailer demonstration that the chief said she brought to Florence and to several smaller neighboring communities.
Mayor Mary Eaton said the award was presented at the state fire school opening ceremony attended by more than 800 firefighters and called the recognition “a big deal.” The mayor asked staff and council to take a photograph with Peel Davis and the award and thanked her for her work.
