"I'm satisfied that the Tischer met the requirements and satisfactorily presented his case," Kartthal said at the recommendation meeting. Kartthal said there are standard conditions attached to the recommendation and that the approval is written with a 10-year time limit; the petitioner would need to seek relief again after that period if they wish to continue.
Kartthal said he will transmit his favorable recommendation to the DuPage County Development Committee for final consideration. No public comment was offered during the recommendation meeting. The committee will review the record and decide whether to accept, modify or reject the Hearing Officer's recommendation.
The case was recorded on the agenda as petition 25 O51 and was described as a conditional-use request to allow a Class B restaurant in a B-1 local business district.
