The board reviewed routine operations items including the proposed three-year renewal of the Trane service agreement and a request to remove, sell, donate or otherwise dispose of several district vehicles.
Administrators described the Trane agreement as a renewal of the prior three-year contract to perform four annual inspections, maintenance and software updates; staff called the service "invaluable" for HVAC upkeep. Separately, administrators presented a list of vehicles no longer used by the district and recommended accepting closed bids for road-worthy units while disposing of or donating units not suitable for sale. Staff noted past donations to local fire departments and other organizations for training purposes.
The board approved the recommendation to dispose of five vans and to sell or donate one diesel bus and three propane buses as presented; the motion passed on a roll-call vote.
Speakers included district operations staff who presented the items and board members who approved the actions.
