The Laguna Woods City Council scheduled a brief special meeting for 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25 to consider a time-sensitive construction contract that requires two temporary construction easements from private property owners. The council approved the adjourned regular meeting date by unanimous voice vote.
City Manager Chris told the council bids were received last Friday and staff intended to include the contract award on the current agenda but could not because two temporary easements were not in hand. The project is on an accelerated schedule, staff said, prompting the request for a one-item adjourned meeting next week. Staff also said at least one additional proclamation would be on the Sept. 25 agenda and that the meeting would likely be short.
Council members confirmed the date worked for the absent council member Connors and moved to set the meeting for Sept. 25 at 3 p.m. at City Hall.
