Council approves conditional-use permit for Red Rock Hotel signage

Councilors on Sept. 17 approved a conditional-use permit allowing an electronic message sign at the Red Rock Hotel and Suites. Building and Housing staff presented that the Planning Commission reviewed the request on Sept. 15, found it met zoning conditions for an electronic message sign and recommended approval.

Council members asked about the sign’s location; staff responded that the electronic message component will be located beneath the existing large Red Rock Hotel sign at the same sign structure. The council approved the conditional-use permit on a motion with no further discussion.
