Following public business on Sept. 18, the Hinsdale Township High School District 86 Board of Education voted to adjourn to closed session to discuss personnel matters allowed under the Illinois Open Meetings Act. The board cited the statutory exception for discussion of the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline and performance of specific employees and related matters.

A board member moved to adjourn to closed session; Member Waters seconded the motion. The board took a roll-call vote with seven ayes and no nays; the motion carried 7-0. Board members specified that any discussion of a wage increase subject to the Local Government Wage Increase Transparency Act would remain open to the public, consistent with the statute cited at the meeting.
