The Plan Commission voted to approve the site plan for Lot 1 of the S J 9301 Addition (9301 Wicker Avenue) on Sept. 17, 2025. The proposal calls for a two‑story Wintrust Bank branch with three exterior teller lanes, ADA access, and landscaping consistent with town standards.
Attorney/representative for the petitioner told the commission that engineering review was completed and that the town received the engineering approval letter on Sept. 9, 2025. The petitioner said that earlier concept plans had shown a driveway to U.S. 41 but that the Indiana Department of Transportation would not permit a driveway at that location, so the plan was revised to extend parking along the existing access on U.S. 41. The petitioner also stated that appropriate ingress/egress easements are already established on the PUD plat and that site construction could begin in February 2026 if approvals proceed.
The commission approved the site plan after no questions were raised from commissioners; a motion to approve was made and seconded and passed by voice vote. The petitioner said he submitted full updated plan sets for the lot and the lot to the south (a separate PUD parcel) to planning staff earlier in the day.
