Board approves $1.228 million in claims, including large payroll and Republic Services trash claim

The Logansport Board of Public Works and Safety approved claims totaling $1,228,927.50 during its Sept. 17 meeting.

Staff presented a claims list that included payroll of $294,804.88 and a Republic Services trash claim of $115,605.50. The claims package also referenced several ordinance and resolution line items: Ordinance 2024‑11 ($6,000), Ordinance 2025‑19 ($445,000), Ordinance 2025‑21 ($259,186.42), Resolution 2025‑147 ($246.01) and Resolution 2025‑151 ($47,844.48). The board moved to approve the claims as presented, the motion was seconded and the roll call votes recorded affirmative responses from board members present.

Board members did not request further line‑item discussion during the meeting; the claims were approved as presented.
