City receives sample ballot language for charter amendments; staff to mail notices to electors

Sunbury — City staff told the City Council on Sept. 17 that the Delaware County Board of Elections has provided the sample ballot language for Sunbury’s proposed charter amendments and that the city will mail notices to registered electors by Oct. 4.

Administrator Hennessy said the sample ballot is included in council packets so members can see how the charter amendments will appear to voters, and that the remaining administrative step on the city side is to finalize and send required mailings to electors by the Oct. 4 mailing deadline. Staff said they are working to secure an elector list to complete mailings.
