License board grants class 2 dealer licenses, approves Amy—s Auto and others

The Fall River License Board approved several class 2 motor vehicle dealer licenses at its Sept. 17 meeting, including Amy—s Auto (1529 Plymouth Ave.) and a motor vehicle wholesale office at 99 South Main Street.
Applicant Brian Viera appeared to represent Amy—s Auto and said the business would affiliate the license with 1529 Plymouth Ave., operating lots side-by-side with capacity for about 15 cars and additional parking behind the site. Viera said he has operated in Fall River since February 2002. The board noted city approval and the presence of required police signoffs.
At the hearing for La Madu Grand Motors LLC (applicant James Silvesque), the applicant described the proposed operation as a small office handling wholesale transactions, including auction-to-auction and dealer-to-dealer sales, not an on-site retail sales lot. The board clarified that the site would be office-only with no customer-facing car display.
Motions to approve the class 2 licenses were made and seconded and carried unanimously in each case. The chair instructed successful applicants to pick up licenses from the licensing office and complete any outstanding administrative steps.
The board held one class 2 application (for 207 Essex Street) to the end of the meeting pending applicant presence and did not take final action on that item during the session.
