BATON ROUGE, La. — The Louisiana Gaming Control Board on Sept. 18 approved two settlement agreements resolving enforcement matters involving a nongaming supplier and a video draw poker licensee.
Assistant Attorney General Sharon McCoy presented a proposed settlement with Ben Nelson Golf and Utility Vehicles LLC, a nongaming supplier permittee. McCoy said the company became solely owned by KGT Operating LLC through a membership interest purchase and failed to obtain prior written approval from the division or timely notify the division of the transfer. The parties agreed to a $500 civil penalty as a settled civil penalty for the violations. Ms. Lewis moved and Ms. Traylor seconded approval; the board voted in favor with no recorded opposition.
Assistant Attorney General Virginia Evans presented the settlement with MLMWBM LLC doing business as the Poorhouse Saloon, which holds a Type 1 video draw poker license. Evans said the licensee operated devices while its ATC permit and occupational permits had lapsed (ATC permit lapse from Feb. 28, 2025 to May 23, 2025; occupational permit lapse from Dec. 31, 2024 to May 9, 2025). The settlement imposes a $3,000 civil penalty. Ms. Becknell moved and Judge Scholes seconded approval; the board approved the settlement with no recorded opposition.
