Gaming board approves FanDuel’s updated problem‑gambling program

BATON ROUGE, La. — The Louisiana Gaming Control Board voted unanimously Sept. 18 to approve updates to Betfair Interactive US LLC’s (FanDuel Sportsbook) problem‑gambling program.
Assistant Attorney General Sharon McCoy told the board that Betfair’s submission had been reviewed by the Attorney General’s Office, Louisiana State Police Gaming Enforcement Division and the Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling. She said the permittee incorporated the agencies’ recommendations and that the program “continues to comply with all applicable laws and requirements.”
Ali Frank, senior compliance manager for FanDuel, was present and told the board she was “happy to answer any questions.” With no questions from board members, Mr. Langley moved to adopt the prepared resolution, Mr. Jackson seconded, and Miss Landry read the resolution into the record. The roll call recorded affirmative votes from board members and the resolution was adopted.
