The Lewisville City Council approved an ordinance amending the previously adopted budget for fiscal year 2024-25 to include supplemental appropriations, prior-year encumbrance carryovers, mid-year report items and corrections to year-end balances. Staff said the annual supplemental ordinance consolidates routine adjustments: prior purchase orders that overlap into the next fiscal year, items presented at mid-year, and other individual items approved by council during the year. The ordinance allows the city to properly account for encumbrances and to carry forward unused appropriations. The council voted unanimously to adopt the ordinance as presented. Staff will implement the changes in the city's financial system and reflect adjustments in the FY24-25 closing statements.
