Committee approves amendment to SNAP education contract with Chautauqua County

The Human Services Committee on Sept. 1, 2025, voted to approve an amendment to a contract between the county Office of the Aging and the County of Chautauqua for the SNAP education program. Anita Madison, director of the Office of the Aging, told the committee the original contract dated July 1, 2023, is being amended to extend the term from Sept. 30, 2025, to Oct. 31, 2025, and to increase the total payable under the agreement to a maximum of $72,267 for services provided from July 1, 2023, through Oct. 31, 2025. Madison said the additional amount is accounted for in the office’s 2025 budget under SNAP Ed. A motion to approve the amendment was made and the committee voted “Aye”; the chair announced the motion carried. The chair was authorized to sign the document as requested in the resolution language presented by the Office of the Aging.
