During the lobby session on Sept. 15, resident Alan Friedner (37188 Shady Drive) raised concerns about a large dirt mound at the Medina Supply Company site and reported that wind-driven dirt is blowing onto the turnpike near Matic Road, creating a potential safety issue.
Friedner said he had previously asked about the "Mount Ridgeville" at Medina Supply and had not received a response; the law director had told him he would follow up but the resident had not received a return call. Friedner asked whether anything would be done about the size of the mound. Councilmember Swank said she understood that enforcement would be used to make the site compliant with what was allowed when built, but she had no recent update. The president offered to ask the law director to give Friedner a call.
No formal motion or action was taken on the floor beyond a request that the law director contact the resident for follow-up; the matter was left for staff/legal follow-up rather than immediate council action.
