Council approves Panda Express drive-through with conditions

Northridgeville City Council on Sept. 15 approved the Planning Commission's recommendation to permit construction of a new Panda Express drive-through at 32429 Cook Road in a B-3 Highway Commercial District, subject to three conditions.
Clerk read the application details: applicant Philip Midor of Heights Venture Architects and owner Bobcotte 32425 LLC. The Planning Commission voted 4-0 to approve the project with conditions requiring that lots be consolidated; that engineering coordinate sidewalk alignment along the frontage; and that the easement on an adjacent parcel used for truck traffic be coordinated with the property owner.
Councilmember Abens moved and Swank seconded the motion to accept the Planning Commission's action; the motion passed on a roll call with Councilmembers Swank, Schaefer, Abens, Winkle, Awig and Jacobs voting yes.
No public testimony on the item was recorded at the council meeting. The conditions attached to approval require coordination among the developer, engineering staff and an adjacent property owner before permits can be finalized.
