Brockton Schools Recognize ‘Giving the Glam’ for Year‑Round Prom Support to Students in Need

"We have raised over a million dollars because it cost us from 150 to $200,000 a year," Rego said, describing the nonprofit’s annual expenses.
Boston Police and other local officers also spoke about the program’s role in building positive relationships between youth and law enforcement. One police representative said the initiative helps young people ‘‘see us in a different light’’ and noted officers and volunteers provide logistical and safety support on prom day.
