Itasca board approves multiple capital contracts and sewer rehabilitation design work; projects remain under budget

The Village Board approved several capital purchases and contracts during the Sept. 16 meeting, including flow meters for Hamilton Lakes, a three-year bulk material-handling contract, municipal-complex roof replacement, a three-year brick-paver rehabilitation contract and engineering task orders for sanitary manhole and sewer lining work.
These approvals advance both small-scale maintenance and larger sanitary- and stormwater-related infrastructure work, and staff said the projects were within budgeted amounts.
Trustee Daley moved and the board approved a low bid from Core & Main to purchase three electromagnetic flow meters for $32,137, a purchase staff said is roughly $18,000 under the budgeted amount previously set…
