Kingman — Members of the Kingman Youth Advisory Council introduced officers and members and presented their priorities for the 2025–26 year to the City Council on Sept. 16. Chair Clementine Wilcox, co‑chair June Staley and treasurer Elias Wilcock described annual events and partnership efforts including a coat and hoodie drive, a bedding drive with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, monthly park cleanups (Centennial Park and the skate park), bed builds, retailer compliance checks to reduce youth access to nicotine products, and other volunteer and fundraising activities.
Wilcock reported that five youth council members attended the League of Arizona Cities and Towns conference and that youth members participated in recent bed‑build work for Sleep in Heavenly Peace and First Friday events to engage local youth. The youth council said it will continue outreach through social media, QR codes and partnerships with city departments for a mini citizens academy for members. Council members praised the young volunteers and invited them to return with future updates.
