The Waukee City Council approved the third and final reading of an ordinance rezoning about 12.18 acres to allow development of Kettlestone Lakes Apartments, a proposed 210-unit, three-story multifamily building.
Andy, a city staff presenter, said the parcel is located south of Southeast Ashworth Road and west of Grand Prairie Parkway and is the area outlined in the staff packet. "Proposal is for a 210 unit, multifamily, development, 1 1 building that would be 3 stories in height," Andy said. Staff recommended approval of the third and final reading and the council voted in favor.
The council did not receive public testimony against the rezoning during the hearing, and staff said they would take questions if councilors had any. With final passage, the developer may proceed with design and permitting consistent with the rezoning and any applicable site-plan approvals.
