The Statesboro City Council approved Resolution 2025-26 authorizing the mayor to execute documents required to finance construction of a new fire station through the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) financing program. City staff said several documents are required by GMA and the lending vehicle, including an installment sale agreement, assignment and transfer agreement, security deed and related environmental and security agreements.
Staff recommended approval and said the financing package is necessary to move forward with construction.
