The Wichita Falls City Council on Sept. 16 approved a resolution authorizing a multiple-use agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for passenger shelters and amenities located within TxDOT right-of-way.
City staff member Jenny said the memorandum of understanding is a technical step required for the city's bus-shelter rehabilitation project; she told council TxDOT has no objections to the current shelter locations and the Cimarron shelter rehabilitation will be complete by the end of the month. Councilmembers thanked staff for progressing the project and noted the shelters will improve veteran and public use near the airport and other transit stops.
The council voted to approve the agreement by motion and recorded ayes.
