FDOT: Capital Circle project to be let in December; district to study fatal crashes on Highway 20

Board members raised safety concerns about a stretch of Highway 20 west of Capital Circle Southwest where two recent fatalities occurred; the FDOT representative said district safety staff review crash data routinely and that the department has already received requests to examine the location. FDOT said it will visit the site, identify any interim improvements, and report back to the board at a future meeting or sooner if an “easy fix” is identified.
