The Board of License Commissioners on Sept. 16 approved temporary extensions of premises to allow outdoor patio service for two restaurants during Coverpalooza on Sunday, Sept. 21, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The permits cover Fords at 15 Carter and Viva Trattoria at 1500 Hancock Street and were presented as part of larger Quincy 400 event planning; the board confirmed an application is on file and raised no objections. Mark Carey, identified at the hearing as a representative for the mayor, spoke about coordination for the event.
The board approved the requested temporary extensions by voice vote. Staff and applicants are expected to coordinate any operational details with city event organizers.
