The City of Quincy Board of License Commissioners on Sept. 16 approved a one-day beer-and-wine special-use permit for the Hospital Hill Neighborhood Association’s fall block party, planned for Oct. 18 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Oct. 19 named as an alternate.
The event will take place on Glendale Road between Monroe and President's Lane, organizers said; vendors are still being finalized and the applicant said they will confirm vendors once the license is approved. The applicant said the neighborhood association will coordinate traffic control and road blockage logistics with city departments if the permit is granted.
Board members raised no objections during the hearing and the board voted in favor by voice vote. The motion to approve was made and seconded at the meeting; the board recorded an affirmative voice vote and approved the permit.
The association did not provide additional binding conditions at the hearing. Organizers and staff discussed the standard follow-up steps — including vendor confirmation and coordination for street closure — that will occur after board approval.
