Committee renews Jones Media contract for city meeting broadcasting, not to exceed $30,000

The committee voted to renew an as-needed professional services contract with Jones Media Productions (Kevin Jones) to continue broadcasting and streaming city council, zoning board of adjustments, planning and zoning commission and other public meetings.
Brandy presented the item, saying the contract is a not-to-exceed $30,000 amount budgeted in outside services. She explained the vendor provides equipment and flat rates for events so a long meeting does not increase the hourly cost: "If he's with planning and zoning commission for 10 hours for 1 night, regardless, it is gonna be that $800 flat rate that he charges." Committee members confirmed Kevin Jones handles the technical streaming and that the contractor provides the equipment used in the council chambers.
The committee approved the renewal by voice vote.
