County officials said the amendment will fund an additional night nurse, increase the frequency of on-site dental visits from every two months to every 30 days, and reflect an across‑the‑board 5% increase tied to employee compensation. The sheriff described the amendment as necessary to sustain an expanded mental-health program and the county’s chronic-care workload.
