HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas — The Henderson County Commissioners Court voted unanimously to approve Amendment 13 to the county's inmate health-care contract with Southern Health Partners, extending services and authorizing the county judge to sign the amended agreement.
County officials said the amendment will fund an additional night nurse, increase the frequency of on-site dental visits from every two months to every 30 days, and reflect an across‑the‑board 5% increase tied to employee compensation. The sheriff described the amendment as necessary to sustain an expanded mental-health program and the county’s chronic-care workload.
