The Riverton City Council on Sept. 16 approved the finance committees recommendation to pay claims and payroll totaling $869,297.87. The finance committee met at 6:45 p.m. and moved the recommendation forward. The amounts were presented by staff as: claims to be paid $602,001.94; an Elan credit card payment of $7,745.03; and payroll and liabilities for Sept. 5, 2025 of $259,550.90, for a total of $869,297.87. Councilwoman Karen Johnson made the motion to approve the claims earlier in the committee; Councilwoman Rebecca Pearson Lewis seconded. During the consent agenda vote, Councilman Mike Bailey abstained from the Bailey Enterprises line item. The council voted to approve the consent agenda as presented. Staff noted no further committee items and adjourned the finance committee meeting at 6:47 p.m. The approved claims will be processed in accordance with city procedures and recorded in the citys financial reports.
