Staff presented a timeline for the plan revision public engagement materials, saying a story map and survey will be published in October and will remain open through mid-November before Thanksgiving.
Jason said the story map will present the 2018 plan history, data, prior public input and the proposed network updates, and that staff plans an in-person pop-up during PorchFest in mid-October with a planned survey close date of around Nov. 15. "This week to sit down and go through and look at that draft materials, provide our comments on it, and it should be ready to go in October," Jason said.
The draft survey will ask respondents to prioritize upgrading existing substandard facilities versus funding new projects, and to give feedback on implementation priorities. Staff said it expects to return a final plan to the mayor and commission in March, with possible work sessions in February and March as part of the plan-acceptance cycle.
Staff asked commissioners to look for the October story map, participate in outreach at PorchFest, and to prepare for a possible work session in February tied to the formal vote cycle.
No commission vote was required; this was an informational update on schedule and outreach plans.
