At the Sept. 16 meeting the facilities presenter updated the board on the Oakland House renovation, reporting that work is progressing and the school hopes to occupy the house by October.
The presenter said contractor work led by "Mr. Champion" is finished except for hanging doors that have been ordered. Contractors IMA added five new outlets and labeled outlets, light switches and breaker boxes; Maximum (or Maxim) has installed cameras and internet cabling. Fire drawings were sent to a vendor by a staff member identified as Miss Wilson so that the contractor could order fire and security equipment; the presenter said painters will be scheduled once the alarm system installation date is set. The presenter also reported that the printer and furniture have been ordered and that the project remains on budget with the money the board approved at the prior meeting.
This was a facilities-status update; no new funding requests or contract awards were presented at the Sept. 16 meeting.
