The Wichita County Commissioners Court approved a fenced enclosure for the Precinct 4 barn on Sept. 16, voting 3–0 to accept a proposal from Damon Mount Pro Insulation (presented as the selected vendor) for an amount not to exceed $58,512 to be paid from Fund 409 with accounting lines to be determined by the county auditor.
Commissioner Watts presented two proposals and recommended selecting the Damon Mount Pro Insulation quote. County discussion clarified that the Park Fence proposal broke out labor and materials in separate documents while the selected vendor’s price was rolled into one quote; county staff said in‑house crews would remove most existing pipe fencing, and the contractor would roll up two small chain‑link sections and deliver them to the precinct.
A motion to approve the Damon Mount Pro Insulation quote not to exceed $58,512 passed on a 3–0 voice vote.
Ending: The contract was approved and staff will coordinate with the selected vendor and the county auditor for fund and line‑item allocations.
